Wards - Armed To The Teeth demo tape 1985

This tape showed up in my inbox today and I could not be more happy. Honestly it made my day. Since I have pretty much zero time for this blog at the moment I passed the files over to Erich at Good Bad Music For bad, Bad Times blog. So if you want this go on over and grab it from Good Bad Music..Dave G.

I think I'll be posting the 2nd 7" soon and maybe do a repost of the first one too. This demo here is cool, I like it cause it's so demented. Thanks again, Dave!!

Man, this is good news that you received this in your inbox!! I have been looking for this thing for several years- I checked it out on Erich's blog but have not had a chance to listen to it yet though. Have you heard the Nation of Hate EP yet? They were the first Vermont HC band- it was recorded circa 1982 but went unreleased until earlier this year. The great packaging of it has some interesting reprints of old newspaper articles that mention the Wards and Tea Curley's crazy stage antics that got him banned from some Burlington, Vermont clubs back in the very early 80's. Only 110 copies were pressed of the Nation of Hate EP but there still might be some available...

Juist discovered this blog and it is cool. A few years ago the Wards released an 80 song CD with everything on it. Of course, it was only a CDR with terrible, photocopied cover and no info. And they were selling them for like $15! I remember them selling their first 7" back in 1983 for $5 and getting shit for their high prices back then. Pretty good band, but they seem to be more interested in the $ than naything else.

Honestly, I don't think the Wards are getting rich off of their music man. I would have gladly paid them $20 for one of those cd's. I wish they were selling them through their myspace or something. If anyone can score me one of these cds I would be greatful to say the least...Dave G.

Just wanted to say I've got Erichtion.

Hahaha.

Sorry.

They're not getting rich, but they're trying! Selling a fucking burned CD with crap cover for $15? That's ALMOST as bad as the DRI "Greatest Hits" CDRs they were selling a few years ago on tour for $18. What does it cost to make a CDR, maybe 50 cents? Capitalists suck?
