Symbol Six - 12" Poshboy Records 1982

Here is a cool record I picked up at Vinyl Conflict in Richmond VA this past weekend. Vinyl Conflict is a new punk rock record shop owned by Brandon and Lauren who also do an awesome record label called No Way Records. I recommend that you check out their awesome store if you are ever in Richmond and you can also find them at www.nowayrecords.com.

Anyway, back to the record. This Symbol Six 12" ep contains 4 songs of classic Poshboy punk rock, think Adolescents meets Agent Orange. A few months back I posted a Symbol Six ep that contained 2 of the songs from this 12" which only proved to be a teaser really because once I heard that ep I knew I had to track down this 12" with all 4 songs. Honestly, the music is a bit generic which stops it from being a classic record, but it's still worth a listen in my opinion.

You're crazy, that record is great!!! I still listen to it often! LA can't be beat when it comes to early punk (70's & early 80's).

Hey thanx for this Dave. Just read an interview with Eric Leach at, http://strangereaction.com/2010/09/10/interview-with-eric-leach/. Go to track it down and one of the sites I'm familiar with has had it all this time. Interesting that they were so young. Not bad, but your description fits, maybe through in a little BYO. Thanx again
